Inspiration:
After seen Van Gogh works up close a few times, I decided to create an artwork with very pronounced strokes. This painting is a homage to the Brazilian flag and the diversity of our people. The Bonfim ribbon, a traditional lucky souvenir from Salvador Bahia, was placed in specific areas of the painting.
Part of Faces do Tempo (Faces of Time) series
The first consolidation of over 15 years creating intuitive illustrations to document my experiences in Brazil. This series features 13 different faces, each inspired by real people who crossed my path. Together, they shape the eight paintings and the narratives of a specific time. This is painting number 03.
