Feel the beat of your art
Trends come and go all the time, but the impact of something seemingly innocent like a Ghibli filter can last much longer.
I’m still at the beginning of my art journey and, although I have an open mind to experiment with different materials and formats, I’m still a bit reluctant to produce digital artworks. Especially because there’s so much AI generated stuff everywhere.
I don’t agree with the indiscriminate use of AI software in visual arts, or in any other creative field. I also don’t believe in the concept of “AI art.”
Artificial art is exactly what is: artificial 🥸
Reflecting on this I wanted to express my point of view, but also go a bit further…So I made the digital artwork, then printed 250 stickers of it! I’ll be spreading them around the city, but also giving them away and talking to art lovers in a few specific spots in Amsterdam. I already started that yesterday in my painting classes.
If we share the same thoughts about it, let’s get together for a couple of hours (day and place to be defined) and hand them out to people!
That’s a great opportunity to take a small action and talk about this. No screens and with no dependency on algorithms.
