Born in Bahia in 1990, Murilo moved to São Paulo with his parents as a child, spending his early years between the outskirts of Diadema and the southern outskirts of São Paulo. Despite many challenges, he never gave up on his goals, striving to achieve them through education and hard work.

Before becoming an independent professional, he built a solid career in the digital industry over the past 15 years. He first worked in Digital Advertising then transitioned to Experience Design, a field he has spent the last 10+ years collaborating with a wide range of companies and digital products in Brazil and the Netherlands.

Driven by endless curiosity and a passion for learning, he has built an unconventional educational background, which includes a degree in Advertising, a technical qualification in Visual Communication (Graphic Design), and a specialization in Sociology. These three distinct fields, along with his life story and professional experience as a designer, shape his unique approach to art.

He also attended Art Direction classes at the Belas Artes Institution (São Paulo) and a Contemporary Drawing course at MAC-USP (Museu de Arte Contemporânea de São Paulo), both of which have had a significant importance to his journey.

In 2023, he enrolled in a drawing course at St-Art Amsterdam and, now is taking painting lessons with a local Amsterdam artist, Seçil Guven.

Murilo currently lives and works in Zaandam.
